Despair and pessimism are antithetical to spiritual life. I do not speak of some emotional positivity or a mental thing called positive thinking. I speak of an assurance arising from the Heart-of-hearts.
I do not speak of a denial of the darkness, acting like violence is not violence, injustice is not inhumane. I point to faith in something more than the evils among us - a love no hate, cruelty, warring, false propaganda, political cultism, or racial or gender inequity can diminish.
Hope, not hope so, shines always - some see, some do not. Where does it shine? Where persons deny it, betray it, try to diminish it, attempt to kill it.
We speak from where we place our attention - the Light or darkness. We align with that we speak. If the mind is in the trash, it smells of trash. If the mind rejoices in the Light, it shines with the Light.
One candle lights up a whole room. The Sun illumines a whole sky. Your kindness enlightens everyone you meet whether they know it or not. There are no limits to love.
